Website Creation

Presence on the web

These lines are written in 2021, and in 2021, a company, no matter its size, which does not have a website, is a rarity. And it is normal, we are all connected via our computers, our tablets, and our phones. We are constantly searching the web with the goal of finding the answer to a question asked.

Only, having a site for the sake of having a site has no interest. You must understand that a website is the reflection of a company on the web, its virtual mirror. An ugly, badly made, disorganized website will give a bad image of the company to the users who consult it. Know-how and competence are things that can (and must) be shown on your website. This is even the point of being present on the web.

For a website to be a tool for your prospects or your customers and not a mandatory presence, you must take care of your website and make it useful.

Look to see better

To make a website that reflects your company and your skills, you must analyze it, make a "case study". This is, for me, the longest step in creating a website. Indeed, I must learn your history, your way of doing things, your way of seeing things. I must learn your field of activity, learn what needs to be highlighted.

The case study also includes an analysis of the competition, what is offered elsewhere and how to do better or how to do different to be relevant and original. Relevance and originality are the determining criteria in the design of a website, especially in terms of SEO optimization which is my specialty.

It is only after having studied all these parameters that I propose you a coherent project which will allow to reach the objectives that you defined for the creation or the redesign of your website.

Let's get in touch

WordPress, the star of the web creation

WordPress is the most used web content management system in the world, I am part of those who use it too. Is it the best way to create a website? I do not know. Is it possible to make any kind of website in WordPress? Clearly not, a showcase site that is a design demonstration without the need for presence on search engines, we can turn to other choices.

If you have a particularly large e-commerce store to set up with a high online sales performance, WordPress is potentially not the best choice either. Finally, if an agency has a team of developers on staff dedicated to technical design, WordPress may not be the best choice either.

It is always a question of benefits/risks and the best choice to achieve the goal. Personally, I work as a freelancer so mostly solo. Therefore, developing the structure of a web container in addition to the creation of content is the best way to do both badly. For the same reason I refuse web projects of too big size. My main choice is therefore to use WordPress because it meets my technical needs, and it meets the needs of my clients in terms of efficiency for their presence on the web.

Experience and expertise

I made my first website in 2010, became an SEO trainer in 2016, a WordPress trainer in 2017 and started my first website design business in 2015. It may be pretentious, to say it but I have some experience in the field. It is thanks to this experience and my degree in computer science engineering that I have acquired the expertise to propose projects with coherent objectives, with budgets respecting your ambitions.

If you use my services, your website will not be done in 10 days, nor will it cost 200 euros. I do not promise you a first page Google ranking in one week. The only thing I promise with certainty is that you will be listened to, and that the goals you have on the web will be achieved.

Subcontracting and choice of projects

As a solo freelance web, mobile, game, and virtual reality developer, and designer, you can imagine that my schedule fills up particularly fast and easily. That is why I do not do any commercial canvassing (except for companies I am a client of myself and that I think deserve a better website). Most of my website creation work is in subcontracting for web agencies needing my expertise.

However, I do work directly with companies, but I like to make it clear that I choose my projects and I am lucky enough to be able to turn down the ones that do not interest me. You should not say that on a website, it is counterproductive, and it scares potential clients away from calling. But let us be honest, I cannot do more than 2 sites per month, so it is logical that I turn some down. And it is also logical that the sites that are turned down are the ones I am least interested in.

And for your information, the websites I am interested in have nothing to do with money or size. The websites that I am interested in are the ones that have something concrete to offer, that represent a real company with real desires and needs on the web.

They trusted me :

Art Sonique

Art Sonique is a store selling high fidelity equipment since 1982. The previous generation of their website was excellent and had for only defect to date a little. It was therefore necessary to redo the site with more current technology, in terms of fluidity, responsiveness (display on phones, tablets, etc.). The idea was to maintain or even improve their positioning on search engines for certain terms.

The idea was also to propose on one side the catalog of available products and on the other a blog system with a unique and original content. The whole being to show by the website that it is an experienced SME which knows what it speaks about, while being practical, comprehensible, and fluid.

DEA International

DEA International is a company that imports high fidelity equipment. Their job is to find high fidelity brands that match their values and desires and distribute them to specialized stores. So, we had a professional audience that was looking for precise, technical, and practical information on given brands.

We also needed an exceptional positioning (1st position) as the official distributor of the brand. The whole in a sober and original design.
